Beautiful day and I think there were around 10 ZR-1s and one lonely C6 (that be me

)... Jim is a great host and Dave gets the food...and the WAZOO event Tshirts are great!

Very fun and INFORMATIVE day...once you tear into the LT5 you really appreciate the fabrication of the engine...very complex.

It was a great day!

It started out a little on the cool side (26 F), but the sunshine and comraderie warmed things up quickly. Thanks everyone who attended and helped and made the event a success.

Thanks to Phill for letting us help take your LT5 apart. We learned a lot.

And finally, all that is left is the skeleton, picked clean:

Here are some more pics of the event.

There were 12 ZR-1's, (15 Corvettes). I was having so much fun talking to everyone that I didn't get a chance to take pics of all the cars.

Rick came all the way from New Jersey with his beautiful Black, 1995 Haibeck 500 ZR-1. I hope someone will post some pictures of his car, it is stunning:

Parking was tight around the garage:

Lots of good folks and good times.

I have to ask.....the bare block is that Light?!? try that with an old sbc 350!

As always, A big thanks to Jim for hosting! And thanks to Phil for letting us play with his LT-5!!! It was great to see all the internals in person. I am eagerly awaiting doing the install of the finished product once Phil is done with the "tweaking".

Yes Tom, the block is that light. If you look close I only have 2 fingers really holding the block. The crank weighed as much as the block.

Can't wait for the next WAZOO event.

Great day! The day really eliminated the intimidation factor that the LT5 held over the ZR1 owners in attendance. Who remembers the day when a Plenum pull was a big deal?

Thanks to everyone able to attended and help out.
I especially like to thank Rick for storing the engine at his place and to Jim & David for tranfering it down from from Rick's on Friday and again thanks to Jim for the use of his garage and for hosting the event.
I was quite surprised to find the engine in such good shape inside. It could have easily gone many more miles just the way it was. The fact it came out of another 94 was an extra bonus. No question a perfect block to build my stroker motor with.

Big thanks to Jim and Lyndi for being such a gracious host and a hostess.
Too bad I was too busy trying to pull bearings, replace sway bar bushings and replace oil pan gasket.
Thank you Phil for figuring out how to fasten those pesky last 2 bolts.
Thanks to Rick for showing me a new benchmark car I must aspire to.

Another great day for WAZOO.
