A big thanks to Gunny , Robert and of course Paul for leading me around the mountains on an amazing roller coaster ride of twists , turns and amazing scenery .
A big thanks to Steve also for letting me brrraapp the throttle a few times in his beast of an LT5 so he could hear how his car sounded coming up the steep twisty road to the hotel lol . So hoping to be able to do this again next year and meet up with such a huge group of great people who have a deep passion for the ZR-1 and Corvettes in general . Best road cars in the world ...

Ooops , I forgot to thank Ami also for doing the navigation and missing out on all the scenery lol . Next time you drive Ami and let Paul read maps . Of course if he reads map like me then we are not gonna get very far but we will get very lost ...

There were places where there was evidence of black charring on tree trunks, and there were many trees laid down: didn't have to look hard for signs of the fire. But! Believe it or not, signs of it were subtle, actually. Mother nature is quick to recover, apparently.  Impression: Beautiful!!! Nothing like spring in the south!!

The last few weeks have been a bit rough for her and she's not bouncing back too well ... i.e. family needs have been a higher priority lately. That said, I hope to have some photos up by week's end. |
