I can't post in the poll because it changes too frequently LOL:
- street tires on 91 sawblades
- school tires (hopefully soon to be rains) on black clone 11" A-molds
- competition tires on 11&12" CCW Classics.

I was all kinds of worried about this due to the stresses I put on things but it turns out to not be a real issue. My worst offender is the CCW with an 80-something mm hub bore and I mount them purely lug-centric, this with what must be 1.5g cornering loads. The one thing I do though is re-torque them all the time - not because they loosen or anything but because I'm constantly changing back and forth.

And I don't hit many potholes or other road hazards , and I don't bother balancing my slicks.

Best,
- Jeff
I have had my CCW Classics since 2003 and never had any issues with them. I will check the mounting the next time I put them on. It has been my primary wheel over the past 10 years until I got the Dymags Gen IIs mounted last month.

Have you been in the Grand? or in Cosmo World?

I like the black power coat wheels. I've thought about doing that but all black except the vents.
Scott,

I work on Yokohama North Dock or Muzuho Futo. It is a small Army base and less than 2 minutes from Cosmo world that I drive by daily. You might remember Stardust or Pole Star bar that is right outside our gate. Never been to the Grand, but my parents stayed next door to it and famous gaijin hotel I hear.

Your idea sounds cool about the black with vents. Taping was difficult is I prepped the wheels for baking/PC since the company did not want to and so difficult. Some kind of special heat resistance green tape.

Please post photos. HREs are one of the highest quality wheels out there and I had some over 20 years ago. They cost more than the value of my Z otherwise I would have a set. First Class wheels!

Yeah, I've got a couple of buddies that put HRE's on their cars. One was a GTS Viper the other was a 700 hp '98 Ram Air TA. They both spent around $3000 per wheel. By the time they bought tires they were into the package for around $15k. That's a boat load of money. But they had it to spend so....

I have 20" HREs on my GTS Viper. The Clear Coating sucks ... but they are SUPER strong. I hit the biggest pothole ever on the way home from purchasing my car. I am running 25 series tires. Got out expecting a bent lip ... NOTHING!!! ---

Post them in your album. I'd like to see them. You know the Cyclone/Typhoon was and probably still is one of the nastiest street vehicles ever tested. Wet or dry! That's another car from my youth that I drooled over.
