Re: Generic Prototype Thread
Thats good info. Thanks Brett. Looks like the magazine photo has the louvered hood too. I think Snake Skinner II had the led third brake light too.

Re: Generic Prototype Thread
Is that Mike Yager's car or the guy that worked on the motors over in Europe, Jeal's car??
That looks like it would take alot to put back together. Update, this is not Yager's car because his is for sale for some big MONEY

Re: Generic Prototype Thread
Mike Yeager's 1989 #80 was the crush car that still has the nose/bumper on. It is also seen with 1991 wheels. here is the link to his garage site. You will see the photo in the lower left of the pictures:

Re: Generic Prototype Thread
I believe that Tyler told me that this pic is of Geoff Jeal's car. P8Y094, not P8Y088.

Re: Generic Prototype Thread
Maybe Tyler will verify which car it is?

Re: Generic Prototype Thread
Ok, with all the talk about these cars, what is the value of a crushed prototype C4? Can you use the prices that Eric was able to get his for ZR-1's for as a guide or is the fact that there are only a few of them around make it hard to guess there true value?

There have been 6 1989 ZR-1s that have sold in the last 10 or so years: #04 sold at the 2010 BJ Scottsdale Auction for $55K #14 sold some years ago for around $60K #74 $110K #78 $198K #81 Snake Skinner $176K #?? Snake Skinner II $73.7K Total Sales: $672.7K Average: $112.1K Really there is no way of determining exactly what they would fetch, but the crushed ZR-1 convertible has been for sale for many many years at $250K. But the resale window, $75 to $120K would be my window, minus the estimated cost of repair.
