Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
Ordered mine. Thanks, Robert. Much appreciated.
I assume they'll all come with instructions, but while I'm waiting, how long (approx) will it take to install the different mods? Big or small effort? Should I assume that installing these will affect alignment, so that should be done afterwards? |

Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
How much is the camber rod bracket only? I have the trailing arm already. Thanks

Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
Does the brake bias spring really help? I would think that it wouldn't do much.

Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
I don't know the answer, but my guess is the C4 racers thought they had too much front brake bias, and the car braked better and/or was easier to control with the changed bias.
Most of us probably wont be able to tell the difference since we're rarely braking at the limit while going into a corner. It sounds like a cheap and easy mod. I'll probably try mine next week before I take my car to Road Atlanta, but I'll be driving at 90% so maybe the change won't be obvious. I'll share my thoughts when I get back from the track day.

Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
I have one in the Master cylinder I need to install.. it will help lower the amount of nose dive on the car

Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
Using a 4 piston caliper in the rear will do more than that. 😉

Re: DRM Camber Brackets.
I did the trailing arm relocator bracket about 3 years ago. That alone helps with the nosedive (or rather the pitch up on the rear half of the car). It also alters the squat some and the side effect is a taught ride quality. I never got around to the bias spring so i have no opinion on that.

Our cars have a very short wheelbase the Bias spring will increase the rear braking power thus reducing the chance of unloading the rear end. All of the ZR-1 Race cars have a manual proportioning valve to increase the amount of rear braking, For 5 bucks, it is a cheap upgrade.
