About the fellowship, I am happy that has been your experience. I have been the recipient of some prety nasty pm's, and had some go so far as to tell me to leave as I have nothing to offer the board, or anyone for that matter. My personality style is just not well received by many. I have no issue speaking my mind, and saying how I feel. That is considered being an *** anymore, and people get their feelings hurt easily. I laugh at it, and just do what I do. Last edited by todesengel; 02-20-2011 at 01:32 PM. |

Re: LT5 into GTO project
Another day down, and slow progress.
Putting the supra independent rear in this changed the trans angle, so first was removing the tunnel, and setting the trans correctly; This has created a couple more issues, namely with the slave cylinder, that I have to deal with. I have decided that now with the modded pan, and crossmember, as well as this new height for the trans I am welding in a steel tunnel. I no longer will require a two piece for engine removal, so I am going back solid. The engine sits much better in here now as well, as seen in the pictures. I also removed the drivers side fender to assist in the header alterations for this side, and pulled the brake booster/master for the new setup; |

Re: LT5 into GTO project
Supra rear being placed for initial fitment;
Oop's, gas tank has to come out as well; Holy hell, look at that. It is almost a perfect fit. I need only make minor adjustments to the cross brace (already started), weld in two square bars, make forawrd mount plates, and possibly relocate rear sway bar and decide which coilovers to use and make upper mounts for them; This thing is tits! huge rear disk brakes, great wheel options )I have about 20 sets of wheels for supras, and should promote great handling for the old girl. All in all I am extremely happy right now. Will finish welding in on Tuesday, and finish the header modifications on Wednesday. Thursday will bring the adaption of the 62 wheel on the balancer, and the start of wiring. 2 weeks baby, and this thing will start, and run! |
