I think I read somewhere, years ago, that Zora considered all Corvettes to be at the "SS" or Super Sport level, that's why they never had an SS Corvette for sale to the public. So unless you are creating, cloning, or doing a replica or tribute to a Snake Skinner, I would not use the SS badges on that car. (JMHO)

I just don't understand why anyone with such a great car would want to have it labled as a fake.

I agree with adding "emblems" where they never were, but....

If he is remaking a snake skinner and it had SS emblems, why not?

I say go for it, if they look like originals!!

In the past, I'd never been a huge fan of the word CLONE, when the real deal could be bought. Mostly COPO cars and GTO's mde from Lemans models.

BUT

Being that you can't buy a Snakeskinner like you can a COPO, I wouldn't worry too much about it being called an actual fake. To me, it's more of a tribute (not a tribute car in the Barrett Jackson sense) to what GM did when they built the actual Snakeskinner car.

Slap on that SS emblem!!!!!

I just wish the badge was ZR-1 sized. I used "emblem cement" to reattach my corvette script. worked great

Mr. Jackson, uses the word Tribute to sale cars of lesser value, it sounds better than "Fake" or "Clone". To a true collector fake is what they are. But a good Street Machine would have more value than a "tribute car".

Big John
Dave Bennett always called my white '89
a "ZR-1 Tribute Car" because of the ZR -1
A-Molds and "big brakes" it had on it. In other words,
it means nothing... Those 11 and a halfs and 315s looked
good sticking out of the back fenders like they did!!!
