OK... All the drama is behind us (I hope) and I have a chance to get some pictures posted. Here I am with the PurpleZ in the Resort parking lot with a Monorail going overhead. I was excited about the monorail, it is one of my favorite things about visiting EPCOT in Orlando.

Here we are early Sunday morning at our favorite food store:

Here we are cruising Las Vegas Blvd In this picture you can see some of the streaks in the badly delaminated windshield:

We saw this C7 near the MGM Grand. He didn't acknowledge us. I guess he was jealous:

We were about at the Palazzo when the engine died. Then we limped the rest of the way back to our resort:

A sad sight. In the resort parking lot evaluating our options:

Here we are at Ted's at about noon on Sunday. PurpleZ is in Bay 1 and Ted is getting ready to move his cars around to put the donor car on the lift.

Turning wrenches. Even though Ted has an amazingly complete garage and tools, I did all the work on my car using my road tool kit to validate that I am carrying everything I needed, which I did.

We finished the injector install on my car by 2:00 and it ran fine. Lyndi and I thanked Ted profusely and then went back to the Vegas strip to do some sightseeing.

Here is Lyndi at the Luxor, and an interior photo of the pyramid which is made of slanting walls of guest rooms. It was very impressive construction.

Here we are enjoying the sights:

On Monday morning we got underway early and started with some photos of the PurpleZ at the Resorts:

And after a strenuous photo shoot, Lyndi got me some breakfast:

I ate the Oreo Ice Cream sandwich and Lyndi kept the 25 oz Bud Light.

We got on I-15 and headed for Los Angles.

Monday, we made it to California:

Just across the California line we saw these reflection, solar power devices. They were really bright:

When we stopped for lunch, some tumble weed tried to sneak up on the PurpleZ (just like the tumbleweeds in New Mexico a year ago in the YellowZ)

After some traffic delays on I-15, we made it to our first stop in LA, Griffith Observatory to get the panorama view of the Hollywood sign and Los Angeles:

We spent the afternoon sightseeing in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Here is the PurpleZ with the famous Capitol Records Building in the background:

Tomorrow, we will put our toes in the Pacific Ocean.

That's one heck of a story - a class act, and what better a way to be captured than in one of Jim's legendary road trips!

Looks like another exciting trip you're having Jim. Beautiful car, great color, continued good luck.
You must not be redheaded to have stayed this calm in the face of adversity. JK

Some people say they wouldn't own a purple Corvette. Well, I think the ZR-1 is gorgeous in it. Fitting for The King.

I especially like the silver badging and the matching wheels. My humble opinion...keep the stock wheels and in silver.

Jim,

Purple is a royal color. And a fiberglass car can use all of the metallic it can get.
I loved my Aqua, but the Black Rose is very "serious" and rich looking especially w silver offset.
