Re: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season now available
All went well with the install. The original TPMS is working fine. Only drove the car a little over 20 miles to get it back home. What I notice right away is that it is so much quieter inside the car. I can hear my wife talking now. I don?t know if that is a good or bad thing. I have attached some pics. I will keep you all posted on my driving impressions of the tires as I get some more driving time with it. Living in San Diego, Ca we don?t get much wet weather, but when we move to northern Az things will change. Sorry for the upside down pics , but I can?t get them to rotate.

Thanks for taking the time to share. Are those 315s on the rear? Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season now available
The picture of the rear tread looks as if these are not as wide as the Good Years which always appeared wider than the the other brands of 315's, and were indeed wider than some.
Does anyone have any factual or empirical data if anyone happens to have one of each? Thanks, Marty |

Re: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season now available
My eyesight remains fair.
The Michelins are 11.3 wide per tire rack spec. The Good Years are 12.4 wide per walmart spec. That is quite a difference! AND, as someone mentioned earlier, the Michelins have a UTQG of 540 versus 280 for the GoodYears, also QUITE a difference. Went through this before with sumitomo, vredestein, nitto,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, etc. Marty Last edited by DRM500RUBYZR-1; 05-17-2022 at 02:23 PM. |

I wonder what the weight difference is.

Thank you for providing pictures of your car and informing others in the community of your experience so far. It's great seeing the new Michelins on the one year only 1990 wheels. (same shout out and kudos to @mjszr1) Is there an opportunity to show a "hood up" picture exposing the 275s in front for a view? Also, given some of the points by others earlier, if you did keep the Eagle F1s (GS-D3s assumed) around, is there a chance to show a width comparison between the 2 (side by side or something)? Also for anyone in the C4 ZR-1 community doing the research on these tires, here is a video from Tire Rack where they talk with the product manager at Michelin about the PS AS4 and the philosophy behind it: https://youtu.be/NhrUe7j4FVw Last edited by tnse; 05-17-2022 at 11:28 PM. |
