Paul, if all goes according to plan I'm picking up my car at Pete's Sunday. I was going to drive halfway, sleep and finish on Monday. - Steve

Dominic suggested replacing wiper blades - if we haven't already done so by then. Considering our track record for that week with the weather, it is an excellent suggestion. (In fact, I added it to my checklist:

8-2202 = AC Delco low profile 90-94 C4s*

20-2 = 90-94 Trico Flex Beam (20")*

8-2204 = AC Delco 95-96 C4s*

*The part numbers have not been verified by me personally. So, if anyone has purchased any low profile blades, feel free to make part number corrections!

Thanks!

Paul.

PS: Anco 31-20 blades too are low profile. I have them on my Z (forgot I had them!).

Thanks Paul.
Looking at my last post, there have been modification.
I now arrive in Chicago early Sunday and will drive for the day. Might miss the drivers meeting.
When are the FBI boys leaving?

Dominic is doing the MR5, but is coordinating wt Robert who is xporting bicycles in his trailer. I'm leaving on Friday and stopping in Somerset, Ky to spend Saturday there before going to BR on Sunday.

See you on Monday if not before?

Paul, it looks like we could meet up near Knoxville if ur coming down I-75 from Somerset, KY. I have a handheld CB radio if that works. Otherwise any other suggestions on comms? Radio Shack is closing down so there may be some deals available.

BTW, a couple of other prep items. Paul has another thread on lo profile wipers.
I just picked up a set of Trico 20-2 for $1.28 each at Rock Auto. Also getting a pair of the ACs for about $6 each.
In addition, I'll be treating the windshield w Rain-X.

We will be using FRS radios on MR5. Google FRS radio or FRS walkie-talkie and you will find plenty of info and places to buy. Some brands are Cobra, Motorola, Midland, etc. I've had decent luck with Motorola. You need one that has 22 channels with additional sub-channels (privacy channels). All the newer radios w/22 channels have the sub-channels, so that shouldn't be an issue.

DITOS on the Motorola FRS radios. Over the MRs, the Moto's always seemed to work - and some of the other brands were OK. But, the Moto's worked reliably and were the easiest to set up (Ch. 5, sub chan 3 is what we've used and had minimal issues with other users).

CORRECTION... Channel 3, sub chan 5. (My bad
