Knock wood no problems on the Z. I was asking about a previous build that used a good deal of oil but has really good compression.

With good compression, I believe typical suspects are valve guides/seals, oil rings, plenum leaks & gasket leaks.

Just a update, it's up & running after sleeve/ring replacements. While we were there, the stock exhaust cams were replaced with Stage 1 ones, the upper was ported more aggressively & a x-pipe added. Waiting for spring for Tuning.

I think you'll be pleased with Pete's exhaust cams, especially w the right tune.
Should be interesting to see how they work w the Split duration intakes.
W Xpipe, you want to look into using Z06 exhaust control valves.
