He held together the patchwork of engineers, dealers, sponsors and racers that kept the series going in ’88 and ’89. But there wouldn’t have been a Corvette Challenge had not Doug Robinson orchestrated the rout of the SCCA’s Escort Endurance series in ’85, ’86 and ’87 that got the Corvettes kicked out. Frank, Doug and retired Corvette Chief Engineer Dave McLellan and others will tell all.
