Dominick,

I think you just gave #2870 his new nickname, "Maximus".......Strength & Honor......

By the way, I ran the corrected sea-level times for my best run, 10.49 @ 133.9 mph.

Standard Atmosphere Sea-Level correction for those numbers would be 10.36 @ 135.5 mph. I'm going to dub the car the fastest street legal N/A ZR1 off of that. Nice work Pete!!

Cheers all,

Kevin

man that is hauling the mail! great times kevin. any ZR-1 that can dip 10s is an amazing machine.

are you by chance running the RAM dual disk? like to hear more about your combo. I need the FBI gang to give the old LSV a once over one of these days.

need to get the little Miss out of college first, and I promised to "wear it out" before a refresh.

great job guys defending the legend and showing them some ZR-1 tailights

the FBI guys are smoking fast.

sorry to hear about your ZF pete. but considering how many power shifts it's been through, it gave it's life for a good cause and knowing you it's fixed already!

love to hear more about the "new tech" tuning, head porting, cams, turbos!

cmon guys GIVE!!! thanks for posting this up. say hi to Marc and the FBI team for me.

Kevin,

I was laughing my Azz off as I was writing that post. I just thought it was so appropriate. Your car is a true Gladiator and it gave it up for the glory of Rome or Chicago in this case. MAXIMUS is a very accurate name for the performance from your ZR.

Ron,

Also don't forget BobGs 427 w a 10.88 @ 131. Mark and Dean w 120 traps on stock block, stock cammed motors. I ran a 12.4@118+ for my first time taking a car back down this track since losing my blue car. I was on street tires and kept the ASR on . Pete and I found a few days later that my throttle may not have been opening completely.
All in all, pretty stellar performance from very streetable cars getting 20+ mpg and idling at a fairly docile 900rpm.

I think Bob G's 427 can beat my car, at least in mph/trap speed. It's of note that Bob had a better 1/8th mile trap than me 103 vs 102 - even on my 10.49 run. We think he was running into a minor tuning problem on the top end of the track. Bob & Pete have a couple of ideas and I threw one of my own out there too. I am pretty certain Bob G can hit 136-137 trap speed if all is right with tuning and weather/track conditions. If he has my automatic by 1mph in the 1/8th, I think if all is right, he can be plus 2mph in the quarter by virtue of the ZF 6-speed.

Well Kevin, this would appear to be shaping up a heck of re-run for the 1/2 mile next year. You were only 1mph slower than the C6Z that won the NA portion of that event. And then we're hoping that Al has his motor sorted out by then.
Wouldn't it be cool to have an LT5 win that event!?

As an FYI guys, I see Wayne went 154 with his Turbo at the Sept. WGF in Georgia
