Are you suspecting the injectors as the source of the miss? A scan of the motor from open loop temps thru closed loop temps will show if you have fuel issues. The O2 cross count #'s and the Block Learn #'s and the Integrator #'s will be off. There is a page in the FSM in section 6E that gives a snap shot of what the closed loop data for a normal motor should look like on a scanner.
I scanned the car at idle blk learn is 115 left and right both in open and closed when cruizing 70 mph 115 left and 120 right . this stuff is new to me i have no expierence with computors itegraters were 132 -134 .does that mean my injectors are off

Ebay has them all the time. Also you could post here what manual you are looking for and for what year Z. Just make sure you buy the large red book or books not the white ones.

Also any C4 Manual for your year will work. A smaller red book is available as the electrial supliment as well as the LT5 Engine supliment. Going rate on these used is around $50-$75 or you can go to Helms or Madvet.com and fork out the $130 new price.

Happy hunting GC

Brad,

Okay I'm not an expert on FI cars. If you go to page 29 in this section of our forum you will see a thread about scan tool data interpretation. The thread is at the bottom third of the page and it has some long distance "interpretation" by some of the more experienced guys in our registry.

Off the top of my head your Integrator numbers are a bit off....but if the O2's are going lazy on ya that could account for the readings....I just can't say for sure that an O2 malfunction yields a miss....I can't logic out a connection from bad O2's to a miss. At my level of experience I'd need to go thru the usual suspects, plugs, wires, coils, does motor smell lean or rich....ya know the old school stuff I learned about carbed motors....but on my car's miss the int #'s were off and I could smell a lean condition @ the tail pipes...hence the scan data confirmed bad injector coils...as the motor was way lean from the injectors not spitting any fuel on one bank and the other bank showed the good injectors responding to a prompt from the ECM to spray more fuel to overcome the lean condition.

Sorry I am not more accomplished in my knowledge to point a finger at the root caus in your situation. The sucessful diagnostics of these cars really required a noob like me to have a FSM, Factory Service Manual = Helms.com.
