Mebby not. I've brought several back from the dead (reading zero volts!) with my old fashioned "dumb" battery charger; batteries that my "Whoop-dee-doo" automatic charger has pronounced "kaput!".

So...if it hasn't been in the grave too long, and as long as one of the cells hasn't shorted out (indicated by loss of one or more 2.1 volts/cell). Don't throw it away yet, unless the store is offering a big credit for the tired ol' thing (unless you have or can find an "oldie but a goodie "dumb" charger of your own?).

This is the 10th season for Ami's WalMart battery. And, due to a bad courtesy light switch in one of the cubby-holds that drained the battery totally flat (twice!), I was able to revitalize it both times. Still cranks the L46 like a new battery! Juuuuust a thought.

Is it SPRING YET???
I did not know you had 500+ hp each???
Your wife likes 500+ Loud hp?? Must be loud as MUST have Headers and open exhaust
You mentioned "rumbling"

Are they both 90's?
Both with secondaries eliminated? (has to be both secondaries eliminated in your case)
Must be Both with Aftermarket Exhaust??
Which Exhaust/Headers in each?
Both with Cams?

I use WalMart Batteries also because they (WalMart) replace them (at any WalMart) without asking any questions

Paul learned the hard (i.e. expensive) way that it's best to go solo on the mountain run ... Ami had more fun in the mountains last year than anyone else and decided she needed her own ZR-1 ... and I think her Z is a bit "badder" than Paul's, but I'll let him chime in on this.

Hey, you oughta come down to the mountains for the next run ... you would have a blast !!!

Her's is a 91, sans secondaries with a B&B exhaust w/ Pete's cams and tune. It has a diffuser, coil-overs, and that stainless, open lid air box (I can'r remember who did those, just now). Did I mention 4:10 gears and Hurst shifter and multi-point harness and roll bar?? Yeah, it has ALL the goodies!

The "Zs"!

The "Turq Monster"...

It is a beast, without a doubt!
