Was looking over some old threads and remembered your interest in turbo(s) for the LT-5.

Well how about a SC LT-5???

Check it out
http://www.zr1products.com/

I see that for some reason the vids on you tube do not load and when you click on the HD you tube shows them as listed private now.

I do think the project was a success and it ran hard and fast from the forum discussion on it all back in 2008. I do think he brought it out to the gathering at BG that year as well. I do not think many bought the solution from him however but it still was KOOL IMO

Thanks for forwarding that along! It is pretty cool no doubt. I didn't see any pricing or HP numbers.

Anyone remember what kind of power it made?

Thanks for posting that photo and info,Bill. That is a pretty sano set-up and looks a lot less complicated than a twin turbo install.
I wonder why it wasn't more popular?

LT5 does use a forged crank correct? Obviously a differnt animal, but some conventional SBC's will snap the crank snout due to excessive loading.

That looks like a nice tight kit.

IIRC,the LT5 has a 4340 forged steel crank so it should be stout enough.

Over coctails at one of the Gatherings in BG, I remember Dave McLellan saying the crank should be good for 1000 or so HP - FWIW.

Its very well supported with it's block design. Cap walk would be very well controlled I would think.

Anyone know anything about the business that offered that SC kit? Are they still in business? Current contact info?
