Not willing to give up airbag. Wish there was a way to adapt the C6 or CTS-V wheel.

My 84 didn't have a bag either. But my 92 bag worked when it needed to.

Rick,

That sounds awesome and I think you found the perfect wheel for your bad ride. Today at the car show that I attended, there were quite a few cars with QR wheels and very cool. Sorry, I forgot to take photos of those to show you.

Some nice looking wheels here, might have to do something like that one of these days. What is the big deal about the QR hub? Is it really needed for something? Is it cheaper to go with a non QR mounting?

Hey Locobob,

No need for quick release and you can just get a standard hub to bolt the wheel to the column and it is cheaper without; I got a short hub due to QR and it brings the wheel back the almost the same location, if not then a standard hub. It seems the C4 guys mostly just replace the wheel w/o QR. IMHO the QR is just to make it easier to get in/out of our C4s, anti-theft, and cool factor is all. I think most don't want to do without the airbag and I can understand that too.

You guys need to hurry up and get those custom steering wheels on.... I have decided I'm going to do this too and I want to benefit from your experience Might go with the Commando for the D shape - tired of my knees hitting the wheel.
