Do you think the C6 Z brakes will work with the Series I 18" wheels.

No the wheels will not clear the caliper

Sure we can test it, but I am sure that the calipers will need some trimming to fit

Not to hijack the thread, but I can't believe that I'm the first person to witness something new and wonderful.

There appears to have been a change, and a good one indeed.
A change that's been ages and ages coming.

Thank you, whomever you are.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.....

Jeff,

That thread seems to show the C6Z brakes fit the Shelby's better than your C5 calipers.

while it may look that way, did you read this post about the install?

Last longer studs was installed along with half inch spacer. It was a experiments but worked out in the end. The new brakes works great. It was alot of work though, but paid off.

I use to have the C5 z06 on my car with the Shelby. I had to use a 1/4 wheel spacer to make it fit.

Looks problematic. Undoubtedly its a big reason for the stock Z06 wheels using the design they do.

efn,

Got the rotors today and picked up the calipers. This is one MASSIVE brake system although I believe they may be lighter than the Brembos. The guy that polished the calipers was pretty thrilled with how they came out. He said the quality of the aluminum used for the calipers was excellent which is why they came out so shiny. I'll have pics shortly. Looking at the offset on the rotors, I believe this will really help tuck in the front wheels into the fender line. BTW, funds are in the mail tomorrow.

Thanks Dominic.
Without a doubt, those things are huge.
Again, good thing they wouldn't fit behind my rims.
Can't wait to see the whole package, the calipers polished up unbelievably. -Steve

Those took much longer than they were suppose to, hope you weren't getting worried.
They look ok? Had some surface rust.
They weighted a ton.
I think that package is biger than the brakes we just did on one of my F550's
