Talking Re: 1995 ZR-1 Bright Aqua

I like the Bright Aqua so well, I painted my 69 SS396 El Camino that color. I have some pics of it somewhere. When I find them I'll post a couple.

Colors in pictures can be deceiving, but I do have Bright Aqua. The picture Jeff shows looks more like the color of Glenn (gbrtng) and Mary's two cars.

Ted, I'm curious. How many cars do you have? You lucky dog! Are they all '95's? So, guess you know Art W, huh? Where do you live?

I hope the market stays soft, I'm looking for another to beat the hell out of and learn more about. These new fangle electronics gismos I know nothing about.

Dan, hopefully we can meet. The GNOCC (Greater New Orleans Corvette Club) has a car show in September maybe I'll see you there. There are 5 or 6 ZR-1s in N'Awlins area. Are you talking about Bill Folse (good guy, helped me when I was looking for one)?

I've been wanting to go to some of the Z gathering and meet some of the Brothers of the Beast, maybe next time!

CJ,
I know Art well. Haven't talked to him in a while though. I wanted your car badly but wasn't in a place to buy it. I would love to see it.

I'm in Niceville FL. There is a great show here (in Destin) in Oct--see SE section. We will have at least three ZR-1s there. You and Daniel_MC come over.

I do like the 95s.

CJ,
I was a member of the NSCC with Sal and all of those guys for years but never made it down to the stuff during the week so I didn?t renew back in 2009. I have done the ExtraVetteGanza show numerous times and took best of show back in 2003 or 2004 (I can?t remember). I am down in the GNO area quite a bit and run the Circuit Grand Bayou with a 89 track car. We will have to get the Z owners together and do something m. Maybe when the new Motorsports park opens? Yes, I was referring to Bill Folse he has helped me with the Grand Sport over the years getting it ready for the NCRS stuff and he has told me about your car. I?d love to see it.

BTW I think Ted is cornering the market on 95?s LOL

Hey Ted,
Do you think we could get a group together for the show around your place in October? That would be fun. Doesn?t Frank live close to you?

Daniel,
Let's make a push for Oct.

There is a local dyno shop too.

Frank is over in Panama City area--not far.

You and CJ.

There are 2 other 95s that I know of here.

Jim has an SGC 92.

Steve has 2 95s and a 92.

The temps are awesome that time of year.

Ted

Ted and Danial, Oct. show sounds good to me!

But maybe I'll see y'all in September at the ExtraVetteGanza. The only thing about the show is the weather, it's still hot as hell with not much shade. But lots of cars. Clubs from Mississippi, Alabama and Florida have been attending.

Danial, that's why I want another ZR-1, to try the road course at No Problem Raceway (don't we all believe we're Walter Mitty at heart.) Went with the Porsche club last year and rode shotgun on the course, I wouldn't drive my '95 on the track though, too many rocks and junk on course.

Danial, next time you come down to race or whatever give me a call or pm.

Ted,
I have the days down on the calendar; I?ll make the drive Friday morning. It would be nice to have a good ZR-1 showing. Is there trailer parking around? The dyno sounds good too. I?d really be down for whatever. I?ll drop Frank an email and see if he would want to drive over.

CJ I may be at VetteGanza, I haven?t been since they moved it from the Lake center to the shopping Village on the Northshore. It was always a good show and I really liked it when it was indoors. FREAKING HOT!!!!
NPR is an ok track but the surfacing and runoffs have a lot to be desired. I usually go through a set of tires in a weekend at NPR and other (larger) tracks I usually get almost 2 weekends out of the tires. I was going to run last weekend (I think) but work happened. Next time I go to run I?ll give you a shout, you are welcome to ride or drive. I go to TWS, H2R, MSR Dallas, Barber, and Eagles Canyon. You are welcome to come and see how you like it. But I will warn you it IS additive!!!

I auto cross with the SCCA and we run at Zyphers Field almost every other month if you would like to try that as well. It?s not NEAR as much fun but it is something to do if you can?t make a DE for a few months LOL
