Howdy Jim and David,
It was great meeting you to, and thanks for showing off the ZR-1 by driving it half way across America (and back via a different route!). Have a safe journey! Marc |

We made it safely back to Maryland on Tuesday evening.
It was a great trip!!!!!!! 6 1/2 days, twelve states, 3580 miles. Not a single problem with the ZR-1!! The navigation system worked well, we always knew where we were going and when we would get there. The weather was perfect except it rained the entire time we were in Arkansas. As soon as we crossed the Texas border the sun came out. After we left Texas, we drove to Florida to visit with Demps. We had a great time hanging out with Ted and seeing his wonderful collection of 1995 ZR-1's. ![]() We got them all out for a photo shoot: ![]() ![]() ![]() For someone who asked, I DID come home with the same number of ZR-1's I started with. After we left Florida we went up to North Carolina and then drove over to Tennessee on the Tail of the Dragon. A beautiful piece of Tennessee highway with 311 curves in 11 miles and beautiful scenery: ![]() ![]() Jim |

I had a major milestone on the trip. As we approached Atlanta on I-85, my Yellow 1994 ZR-1 reached 99,999 miles.
We celebrated with a short run at 100 mph as it turned over 100,000. ![]() ![]() The pictures are't too good since we were coming up on some traffic and had to hurry. Jim |

The ZR-1 BBQ in New Braunfels has become my favorite gathering. For Jim & Dave to attend, all the way from Maryland, was outstanding. Jim's yellow 94 is a beautiful ZR-1 and a great testament to the LT5's legendary durability.
Glen & Mary are so doggoned hospitable, you would think they were native Texans! Thanks to you both for running around with us. The 95 LT1 Raptor turbo put down some great numbers after Corey put his tuning expertise to work. The torque convertor ran out of muscle with the power developed. At 12~13 psi, 513 RWTQ & an est 480 RWHP. Several of the guys drove it and none were disappointed. Ran great all the way down & back. Will's Lingenfelter 386 TT is incredibly nice. I have no idea why GM chose supercharging over turbocharging for the new ZR1. There is NO throttle response issue.....NONE. The car looks, drives & sounds every bit as nice as the new ZR1. Sure, it's a couple of generations older, but not giving up anything in performance. WOW! Thanks to Corey for giving up a couple of days of shop time to accomodate the gathering. Everyone should try to make it next year if you can. Just a real nice gathering!

It was great to see you again Jerry. I really enjoyed talking about the Raptor turbo cars. The LT1 Raptor car is amazing to drive. You have a nice setup there. I am looking forward to the LT5 Raptor Twin Turbo. Let me know how the test and tune at Corey's goes. Jim |
