Re: Value of ZR-1 size Dymags?
Thanks, George. I will hit her a little higher if I don't hear from her soon.

Re: Value of ZR-1 size Dymags?
OP - without the wheel removed from car and using a rim/wheel caliper, checking casting information or measuring the back-spacing how have you determined these to actually be ZR-1 "sizing"?

Re: Value of ZR-1 size Dymags?
They fit correctly on the 86. I have ran ZR-1 offset wheels on early c4's and they fit correctly, so that is what I am basing it on. Also, I think Dymags of this style were only made in two sizes.
It is a gamble. Shawn |

The wheels could certainly be beyond a simple "refinish" operation and actually require a "RESTORATION" - many $$'s difference "refinish" and "RESTORATION" .. how many can be salvaged inexpensively? You're correct in this statement though .............. IT'S A GAMBLE !!! |

Re: Value of ZR-1 size Dymags?
If they look "right" on a non ZR-1, then they are quite likely 17 X 9.
Real ZR-1 fitment on a base car would extend out beyond the quarter panel. That is why ZR-1's have the wider rear, and Grand sports have the eyebrow wheel arch extensions. More importantly, Dymags are Magnesium wheels, and as such, cannot be easily restored like aluminum wheels. They would melt, yes melt. They MUST be restored by a company that is experienced in working on magnesium wheels. While such companies are out there, they are not inexpensive. I agree with an earlier poster who suggested that you be CERTAIN of what you may be getting. Good Luck! Marty |

Are Dymags really magnesium? Don't let them catch on fire.
