Re: WTB: Euro Taillights
About 5 years ago I modify the original taillights because I live in Italy and the American version is not legal.
I cut 4 red lens and 4 white lens to create an European tail light with 4 light/brake and 2 flash per side. I have picture, but I don't know how to post.... Where are you from Karl? |

Re: WTB: Euro Taillights
I thought about cutting a set of orange and red lenses and mating them together.
You can post here https://postimages.org I am in Chicago, IL

Re: WTB: Euro Taillights
Max,
What adhesive did you use for gluing the lenses together?

Re: WTB: Euro Taillights
I used loctite (rapid glue in gel) to connect the two lenses and the aluminium sheet for separate the two light.

Re: WTB: Euro Taillights
But I use also a little bit of silicone to connect the two lenses with the house gasket. It's only to be sure to don't loose the lenses...

Re: WTB: Euro Taillights
To cut the lens I use a carpenter blade, like in the picture (I don't know the English name).
But, to have a perfect plane you must use sand paper with hard and plane support (I use an other carpenter instrument, in second pic) https://postimg.cc/gallery/wbsdcjs4/ I hope you understand what I write!! |
