Re: Meet Bluey! 1994 #353
Cars and Coffee was a blast on Saturday!
Great turnout but an even better time with the Wazoo guys! Stuck around after to talk tech and get some pictures The "tech talk" resulted in adding more TO DO items to my winter project list. Charlie was kind enough to let me take his car for a spin. He also took mine around the block. End result: the whining my transmission is doing is not "normal". After a phone call with Bill Boudreau earlier in the week, that was my assumption but I figured I'd let a local pro have a look as well. Bill suggested that I drop the transmission and check the alignment of everything when reassembling. He also offered for me to send him pictures of my clutch/flywheel assembly so we can decide if it needs replacing or refurbishing. While I have the trans down over the winter i'll also be sending out my power steering rack to Turn One for a refresh. Perfect time since i'll be taking down all the suspension arms for replacement/upgrade and swapping out the old worn FX3 shocks for newer ones. Its going to be one heck of a transformation come spring time! |

Back in town! Getting back into the swing of things.
Waiting for me in my mail box were a couple pieces from Carter Machine! Beautiful pieces that fit great! Foolish me, I thought it was just a simple throttle body cover, I didnt realize that it was a coolant passage cover. Waiting for a gasket now from Jerry's to finish the build. Would have used black RTV if I had some but i was all out of that also. |

The TB gasket finally came in. USPS delays and Labor Day weekend dont make for speedy shipments buy everything went together great!
Finally got to take my wife and kids for a ride around the block also! Young minds have been inspired! Last edited by Prez1967; 09-09-2020 at 07:50 AM. |

Great addition to the car, both the billet throttle body plate and your wife and kids! Bring them all up to cars and coffee in Hunt Valley on Saturday morning. With the great weather last weekend it was packed, about 600 cars plus the tank. The WW2 tank has rubber inserts between the tracks and has a MD license plate. He said he can do 60 MPH around the beltway! Would hate to see that in the rear view mirror!
