Brother Jeffvette has a good write up on his web site you might find useful.

So....with Jeffvette's brake adapters, I can install C5 calipers on my 1991 ZR1 as long as I have C5 rotors. I assume the C5 rotors are a bit thicker. The brake lines are the same? Does this apply to the rear brakes as well using C5 rear brake calipers (different adapters required)?

thanks

Do a search and you will find a number of previous posts about this topic here on the forum. Here is good one:

I did a search but was searching with the wrong words

Thanks again.....that information is exactly what I was looking for. Jeffevette suggests C6 vice C5 calipers and I am assuming the brake adapter is the same but rotors may be different. I have to do some more checking.

I went with Jeff's brackets and C6 calipers and rotors:

Stock C6 and C5 rotors have the same width and mounting but appearence wise they look different.

Stock C5

Stock C6

From a buddy in Texas who had just bought a brand new C6 that he immediately had upgraded to a big set of Wilwoods on all four corners. Had less than 500 miles on them when I received them. Still haven't figured out what to do with C6 rear calipers and rotors he also sent.

Last edited by Jagdpanzer; 10-12-2009 at 11:07 PM. Reason: Corrected the spelling of Wilwoods
