I would tend to agree. You're trading a car with good potential for a depreciating asset. Having not personally seen either car, I would say there is a $8k-$10k difference if they are in similar condition. A friend of mine just bought a ruby vert with under 5k miles for $15k from a dealer, and I think the lust is dying. I have a ruby coupe,, and well, once you get past the color and the interior....... Get her what she wants, but I think I'd go up a few years. JMO Good luck either way! |

Here is the way I see it. If your wife wants it and you are willing then do it. As for the price difference it does not matter as long as you think its a good deal.
You only get to live life once and if you can make her happy now you will be rewarded now and later. Good Luck. |

I still say if it makes him happy to do it..
keep in mind he has 2 ZR-1s, one of which he has been trying for at least 14 months to sell, now he wants out of it and if this works for him then all the better, he will still have a ZR-1 too

John/get her what she wants/it is way cheeper then splitting,or spitting and screaming at each other. After I bought the twin turbo fidanza, she said you have 5 cars and I only drive the tahoe,so I bought her a new jag that she wanted/now she smiles while she works to earn enough for me to buy a new zr1/joe

Thanks for all the comments again guys.
I would rather sell the ZR-1 and get my wife a car she wants, which actually is a Corvette Vert, but a white one. I think once the car is cleaned up to my standards she will love the Ruby color combo. As mentioned, the Z has been for sale for awhile now, and only morons have responded for the most part. So, I see this as a way to kill several birds at the same time. My wife works hard and she deserves a nice car and she puts up with me...AND, I will after all still have a nice low mile Z to play with. |
