One thing to keep in mind is that my 90 is a NCRS car. I need something that looks stock or wind upo losing points. Jon's been working with me on this and this is the first time he's tried these particular injectors. I'll work it some to get what I want. If it was a street car it wouldn't make any difference. BTW, thanks to everyone who's responded. I appreciate the ideas and assistance.

What is your time worth of pulling the plenum once to install the injectors, and to troubleshoot an issue, then to pull it a second time to fix an issue that should have been solved with a good set of injectors?

True, but according to my wife, it was the better way to go..

Now if the injectors go bad in a year, I will probably switch

Yep...x2! The FICs were a snap......it took me about two minutes to modify my four injector rail mounts and they worked fine from the word go.

Doubtful.

It's not that every set of FIC injectors has one or two with a problem, many people are satisfied. Especially with the apparently excellent service that they provide. However it appears that in an effort to provide an inexpensive injector alternative their quality control is lacking. At $349 a set they have a signifcant price advantage over Accels, at about $510, and RC's in the $750 range. They could easily enhance their quality control, even if it added another $25 to the cost, and still have the cost advantage. Just imagine how many they could sell if they had a flawless reputation!

My first choice would have been RC also. I did not want to spend $1,500 to find injectors could not fix the problem.

To be fair, call me lucky, my set from Jon worked fine with no issue. At less then 1/4, I will go with FIC again unless I win a Lotto.

As an update, I did find a leaky injector. Talked to Jon today and he is having a set of Delphi injectors made up to fit the 90 Z. I know pulling the plenum if a PIA, but, being married, I've done a lot worse. First pull took my 4 hours. Second pull, about thirty minutes, so it's not crushing me. My car being an NCRS car (yes, I know how anal I am) it's important that I have original looks and function. Jon's been great working with me. If I need to be the guinea pig to help others out, I guess I'll just oink - or squeel or whatever guinea pigs do. I should have a set by about the end of the week and I'll post how it goes.
