I think that it would be a great idea to have a ZR1 NCRS section.

For starters...is it possible to post the NCRS judges guidelines (general and specific to C4/ZR-1)? Always nice to have a known target and also to see where you will loose points and maybe make a decision to accept minor point deductions and go after the bigger issues.

IMHO, I doubt NCRS would allow that or any other of their publications. NCRS uses their sale of supplies, publications, etc to help support their activities. See all of their membership info at this link http://www.ncrs.org/ . Membership includes a "Technical Discussion" capability, like this online forum.
Best we should hope for on this forum would be an area where we could discuss things & exchange ideas of interest about our ZR-1s as we consider becoming NCRS members and Judging experiences once becoming NCRS members. We can not do anything that would infringe on NCRS products, member services etc.
As expected, NCRS is very protective of their member service activities and products...rightly so. Years of research, and $$ have gone into building it to the powerful resource it is today.

I agree completely with everything you said. I hope that this forum will have a section about NCRS that will be useful from the ZR-1 perspective and so that we can discuss NCRS stuff here.

The guides are cheap. As in about $25. Membership isn't that expensive either. If you're serious about putting your car through the NCRS judging process, become a member of NCRS and buy the publications that will help maximize your points.

As mentioned, sales of NCRS publications is one of the primary sources of income for NCRS. Get involved. Write articles that get published in their newsletter. Get involved with making sure the information in the judging guides is correct. I hear from one credible ZR-1 owner that information in the guides may be inaccurate. Help them get it right.

Lest I be accused of being a liar, I just looked at the latest NCRS Driveline.

1990-1991 NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide, 2nd Edition: $50

1992-1993 NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide, 1st Edition: $50

Maybe you blew it on prices (cds with more info than the old $24 books??) but everything else you said about getting involved as a member is right on target.
