I went in yesterday to register at this URL:

https://www.zr1netregistry.com/Marke...5/Default.aspx

Since the sign up form asks for VIN number reference for the ZR-1, I figured I'd have to own the car first -- before I could join. If that's not the case, I'll certainly sign up. I'll go try again. Thank you.

I signed up -- just put in "Other" for all the ZR-1 profile specifics. Hopefully that worked. Thank you, WARP TEN!

Quasar Blue is so much prettier than Admiral Blue.

I got so very close on this one. Missed a quasar blue ZR-1 by only a couple weeks. Found two other very good prospects in the process, but I thought I'd give this post a quick bump just to do one more pass here on the forum for the blue ZR-1 before I pull the trigger on one of the other vettes.

I'm willing to go $30K+ for the right car. Thanks all!

30K ? ..Been on top of price ranges on these cars since I bought mine in 2014....Prices have varied on these cars from the typical super low mile ones to the low teens for fair condition and high miles...

If I was to pay 30 grand now for a Z it better be top notch....Either that or it better have Pete's 391 in it...

Yes, they are classics right now and qualify as such when insuring them...A stock low mile Z for 30 grand seems like the type of car you would want to leave alone and just take to the occasional car cruise .....That's fine if that's your intention...If the intention is to use it a lot and modify it than there are a decent amount of Z's for less than 30 grand out there....

You should be able to land a nice looking blue Z for less than 30 grand..

Thanks for the note and reassurance. I did find a super nice 1991 black on black with only 12k miles, clean CarFax, two tops, etc. I can get it in the low 20s, but before I fully committed, I wanted to check one last time for the quasar blue one. I am willing to spend more now if it was enough to convince someone to sell. I may just buy the 12k-Mile black one and enjoy that one for a while and wait for the blue one to coma along.

I'm the fair weather cruising kind of guy. I won't modify or race the car, but I'll put a few thousand miles on it in a year.

Thanks again for the note and watching out for a fellow enthusiast!

Well, you have a point. I could see myself updating the stereo to something with Apple CarPlay and maybe the exhaust. I had both of those updates on my Audi R8 and they made that car go from great to fantastic!

I agree--Of the two blues, Quasar was my preference as well. I actually got my Quasar Blue '93 somewhat by accident. I was looking for a couple of other colors in my search back in 1994 but the Quasar one came up at a good price, had few miles and a reputable seller. Turned out it was also a rare color in 1993, and that was the last year for Quasar among ZR-1s. I ended up happy.--Bob
