That said, I also bypassed the TB coolant which keeps the plenum cool to the touch when the engine is running. And, heat soak after it is shut off doesn't seem to have caused any yellowing - in the past 7 years since it was "cleared". (The cam covers...that's a different story.) Marc Haibeck has found a painter who's product doesn't yellow. I don't know if he uses a clear coat or not, but you might ask him about it and get his thoughts. Good luck!
