Re: Larger Intake Valve Cylinder Head Work
Love those velocity stacks & 3" primary tubes. Are you building a new GT car? Individual cylinder throttle body w/injector? Just kidding of course, but with you there's no half-stepping!
Awesome work Phil!

Glad you like my home made velocity stacks. Found them at Home Depot in the the plumbing department PVC pipe fitting section for $1.79. A little time on the lathe and Voila! Shop vac floor attachment tube was the donner for the primary exhaust extension pipe. Though it appears to be larger ID measures 2”

Re: Larger Intake Valve Cylinder Head Work
Ran the flow test this morning
Here is the head mounted up on the SF-600 flow bench with test engineer Justin getting ready to hit the switch: Flowing intake ports: Flowing the exhaust ports: And the results: Happy to report the achieved flow numbers were inline with expectations so the larger intake valves and additional porting work paid off. Was especially pleased with the flows at lower intake valve lift points. The shop that performed the test had never seen a LT5 head before and was very impressed. Said it was right up there with the best SBC LS aftermarket heads they've tested on a 4.125" cylinder bore.

Re: Larger Intake Valve Cylinder Head Work
That is awesome !! Can’t say I’m all that familiar with LT5 flow numbers but have seen a few that aren’t that high that’s for sure ! Any before numbers or any stock numbers for reference ? Would be cool to graph it just for comparison purposes

Great Job Phil.

Re: Larger Intake Valve Cylinder Head Work
Thanks Pete
You are the LT5 porting expert, I am just a mere novice.
