Of the rebuild kits I've used I prefer the 84V-IK kit from Tom's Differential http://tomsdifferentials.com/2011catalog/Pages25-28.pdf

Your looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee 1996-98 D44A for Jeep. We know it as D44HD. Nothing else from Jeep will work. The New Jeep 44 stuff is not compatible.
