The usual excuses, public road, brand new car, son in the passenger seat. The real reason? Top end is very scary, and sustained top end gives you way to much time to think about it.

No jack stands either. Mine was really on the road an I really video taped it. And anybody that takes their car up to that speed and says they were'nt just a little scared is either a liar or crazy. And people that crazy usually don't live very long.
