In discussing my winter work with Marc Haibeck I asked about cutting open the air cleaner. He says at the 500 hp level does not make a big difference in power but he does it anyway to go for whatever slight improvement in power might be there. He says the stock air cleaner setup pretty much flows enough air for up to 500 hp. So I will have it done.-Bob

That has not been my experience. Back when mine was bone stock the first thing I did was re-enforce the bellows and open up the bezel on the breather. It was good for 3hp but then, the +/- error would also be about 3 from run to run so who knows.
