Re: Codes.
I called them today to ask what they had to disconnect or unplug to remove the rear bumper and the 1/4 panel. He said they would have unpluged the antenna and the rear tail lights. He said he hopes its nothing they did but to let him know. Another thought would be the fuel pump ground wires.

Re: Codes.
I think I've found the problem. I checked battery connections and the negative battery cable was not tight. I could turn it with my finger. Tightened it up and the car fired up and idled perfect. Im a little low on engine coolant and need to do an oil change. After that I'll take it for a spin and check for codes then I'll know for sure. But no see light on start up like before. My gut tells me that was it.

Re: Codes.
Looks like I spoke a little to soon. Just fired it up again and it ran rough like before.

Re: Codes.
No I don't. I crawled up under there to take a look but its hard to see up in there. There's wires running everywhere behind the bumper. Id almost have to remove the gas tank to see everything. My gas tank is empty right now with reserve on and only one bar showing. So now would be the time to remove it. Plus my spare tire and assembly is removed already. Besides where do the fuel pumps ground to?

Re: Codes.
If they did any welding and did not disconnect the negative battery cable, my theory about a frazzled ECM is still a good bet. Even some static electricity from sanding and painting could have zapped it.
JMHO ...

Re: Codes.
I fixed it. There's always a lesson to be learned in these situations and this one was to take your time and don't take quick glances over areas your looking at. I had quickly glanced at the map hose for a split second in dim light and moved on to the rear of the car. Then I popped the hood to look everything over one more time. As I hovered over where the map sensor was I smelled gas. I grabbed a little flashlight and saw that the map hose was unplugged. End of problem. Im kinda embarrassed about that because that's the first place I looked in very dim light and thought I saw it plugged in but it wasn't. And my radio even works now. Weird.
