I ordered this kit, not sure if it's the GM equivilant or not, but RTV sealer should take care of it. Are you using a gasket?

Thank you Jeffvette, I use that on the T56 tranny I’ve rebuilt. Its good stuff. I was concerned due to the structural aspect and flexing of the structure that plain silicon wouldn’t due the job.

Can you confirm the part number you have is Spicer 706352X? Danelle from the link you provided said that is the part number they sell on the listing, but a friend of mine said the part number for our D44-HD is Spicer 707018X as shown here that this is what was used to rebuild his D44 in C4:

Based on this site from Dana/Spicer, I think 706352X is for Dana 44 solid axle:

Not sure of the part # at the moment but the new clutch packs were just measured and they all matched up the same in all respects as the old ones.

Okay, good news and it should work then. The gal from the site you ordered (Danelle) said it is interchangeable and a marketing scheme from Dana. I ordered the 707018X from here:

So my rebuild kit came with a gasket and I noticed the factory does not use one based on mine and all the photos I see. When I reassemble, don't use the gasket that came with the kit and just use sealer?

I was just down at NAPA and saw the "Right Stuff" Jeff talked about. It was in the sealant section with the RTV and anti-seize. Hope that makes it easy for anyone looking.
