While I did not see this car, if it was an ultra low mile GS, and if red interior,
60k plus is a very good but fair number for buyer and seller.
They only made 1000 verts, narrow it down to red interior , then reduce much further if really low miles, and there you go.
6900 ZR-1's versus a few hundred GS's with red and drop top, and yes, those cars will ALWAYS command a premium into the future!
Wish I had a few.

Very strong money if you ask me.....
While I do indeed like, not love, but really like 77's, the rest of the world usually views them as the most pedestrian of Corvettes AT THIS TIME.
L-48?
Auto?
Couldn't get much LESS desirable.
Red!!!
Hmmm, that is a big plus.
BUT 900 miles!!!
There you go!
How many sub 1000 mile cars are left?
Worth $33,000.00?
Yes.
Certainly proved it that day.
Now if he puts more than 90 some miles on it while he owns it, stand back so that you don't get hit with the falling value!
Such is the finicky collector car market.

Insane... as far as I’m concerned. I was watching last night and watched a cobbled together restomod 58’ Corvette go for $250k. Parts from various years, even on the body, and a new LT4 engine. Admittedly nicely executed but $250k? It’s their money and they can do what they want. I just don’t see the attraction or the investment value. Guess if you have millions (or more) it doesn’t really matter.

The over blown prices @B-J seems to go in fazes. People pay over the top for something then when the boredom of the new purchase sets in you will see it at another auction at a greatly discounted price.

Yes it's a fancy paint job and yes the LT4 was available in 1996 in non Grand Sports and other 96's like the Collector Edition. HOWEVER there were only 1000 Grand Sports produced and there were more Coupes than Convertables. Only 190 GS Convertables were made so that coupled with low miles in original condition IS the value. Add to that there are not 1000 left on the road due to accidents etc. GC

Does anyone know why the Grand sport convertibles didn't get the fender flares in the back like the coupes? Are the convertible fenders wider?

Never mind, they just put skinnier wheels and tires on the convertibles for some reason.
