Not a chance.... you have to be very careful sourcing LT5 parts from most retail parts suppliers. More often than not those parts are not for an LT5. Most are clueless as to what an LT5 is and how different it is from an SBC. You have to know exactly what your looking for. That said, as long as your active in this community most parts can be sourced. As I said previously, an ECM or a DIS unit will be pricey.

Based on what I saw on your post in CF, looks like the Austin Corvette guys are reasonably competent and feel it may just be a connector issue.

Rockauto has the WRONG ECM listed for the LT5, as do many of the automotive places (Autozone, Advance, etc)

Update: Had car shipped back from Austin a couple weeks ago. Austin Corvette tried a few things including cleaning ignition module connector. Car ran ok for a few miles, afterward, but then started missing again. Decided to ship it home and see if I could sort it out on my own. I read a post that suggested re-seating the EEPROM. Removed ECU today, reseated EEPROM and re-seated ECU connectors. Took it out for a 10 mile road test and so far it's running like a champ. Will let it sit overnight and run it from a cold start tomorrow. Crossing my fingers!

Well, after sitting overnight, started up this afternoon, and it's missing again.

Check your alternator connection - not just visually but remove and clean if you can, plus check your battery terminals and check your alternator with a DVM.

Probably a good idea to check your battery connections as well. First rule of troubleshooting, start with the easiest thing first.

..ECU is back from repair. Started up fine and drove it 60 miles no issues. Have a SES light, but when I check codes, I only get a Code 12. Start it up and the SES light returns?

Ok...ECU is on it's second trip back from G7 Computer Repair. Looks like the are calling it a software issue. We'll see. Don't expect to receive it until next week, though.

"The computer you sent here has been repaired. There was a software failure on the board, so the unit did not need to be opened (which is always better for it) because the hardware all tested OK. Software repairs typically take longer than hardware faults, so a lot of time was put into this unit. Usually when the computer fails, so does another part on the vehicle, and if all the damaged parts on the vehicle are not replaced at the same time, then the original problem may still exist, or even cause damage again to the computer (which is not covered under warranty, as stated in the Terms and Conditions on the website) and/ or vehicle. Anything electrically related to the symptoms with the vehicle should be checked. It could not be determined if the fault was a result of another problem with the vehicle or a manufacturer's defect because the vehicle was not here for inspection. Your computer was shipped back out within one business day after it arrived here (as stated in the Terms and Conditions, "one day" is defined as shipping out by the end of the following business day that the computer is received here from the customer)."
