The most common culprit for drips progressing to a puddle is the Low Oil Pressure Warning Light Switch, which is not easily visible, or to reach for that matter. It leaks oil through the switch, into the electrical connector. Remove the electrical connector and look for oil.

It is the picture on the left in the image below.

Thank you, sir.
I think I bought that switch from you, but maybe it didn't get installed. I'll double check.

I may have overlooked it but didn?t see it in the orders I checked.

And I thought I had bought one of everything from you by now.

Order incoming!

Jerry, as I'm putting an order together, any other likely culprits I should add?

Another known source of oil leak in the same proximity is the Oil Pump Access Cover. Difficult to get to. Here is a link to a new gasket .

Be sure to tighten the 2 bolts alternately, gradually increasing the torque in several incremental steps to insure proper sealing.

I'm glad I saw this!

I've been chasing an oil leak. I tightened both Oil Pressure Regulation Valve Cover bolts - without success.

It definitely seems to be coming from that Low Oil Pressure Warning Light switch.

Now the question is: how do I change it? Headers are now removed. Also, it doesn't seem to be a single pin connector!

And should I change some other stuff while I'm there? I didn't particularly like removing those headers.

Might be best to try a new thread with your specific problem. Easier to get noticed that way.

Thank you, Jerry. The parts arrived on time and have been installed. From what I can tell, the oil leak has been, at the very least, greatly minimized. I'll check where I've had it parked tonight to see if there is an small drips.

It doesn't seem that the oil pump access cover is a quick and easy job!
