Things are moving along pretty well. I have the oil catch can installed and just about all the upgrades have arrived.
I need to pull the plenum and check the connecting harness to verify the ignition module is connected properly. Hopefully it is not and is a simple cure for the code 16. The prior owner pulled the plenum to replace the coils and I assume the distributor ignition system harness was not plugged up correctly. Congrats Karl on a truly unique story/history to this car. Justin sent me all the info as I was looking at it also and almost decided to buy it. I think of it as fate. It was destined to come your way. That and my wife made it clear she doesn't like yellow on any car. Personally I think the yellow looks cool. Justin said it was a Viper Yellow Metallic not sure how that looks verses the Competition Yellow GM painted the cars. Cool car though.

Hopefully I will be able to beat or at least match Doug's best time in the car at the 1/4 mile soon. |

Beast #2 secondaries are gone and 16 new fuel injectors have been installed along with the performance upgrades.
This car will spin the tires in second gear from a slow roll at 15+mph. I have a few miscellaneous things to do. So far so good. Big thanks to Pete for working on the car. I am mechanically inclined but have no where to work on the car and I don't like waiting! 1/4 mile times are next along with another update. Drive your Z! #notrailerqueenhere |

Karl,
Just did an update to the catch can w the screen and steel wool. As for the inlet port, I had some rubber tubing that squeezes into the backside of the inlet. VERY tight fit. Don’t believe it’ll go anywhere. Last edited by XfireZ51; 03-08-2024 at 03:09 PM. |
