I saw the MF and liked the idea of a combination Xpipe/resonator. Bassani makes one for C5 with Xpipe incorporated into the resonator rather than in front of it. I've been told that you want the Xpipe as far forward as possible which seems like what the MF system does. And the MF is 3" thru to mufflers.
Dom if you already have the LT4 resonator and the X-pipe why not gig that together before laying out money for the MF to see if your happy with the result Ahem 400 to the rear? Or are you saying you dont have the X-pipe either so you are at that cross road. If you have both I would go with what you have and see if get that extra HP before laying out more cash. But thats just my thoughts. Your still running the Watsons correct? D

GC,

I have an LT-4 system that came off my car. However, I don't have an Xpipe. The MF system gives you both an Xpipe and resonator. I had been thinking of pulling out the B+B resonator and subbing the LT-4. According to Marc H, that would increase my HP because the LT-4 resonator is 2.75" dia. which is larger than my current B+B. However, now add to that the benefit of the HP gain from the Xpipe. With the MF system, you get a resonator/Xpipe combo that fits within the space of the current B+B resonator. I don't think it would be possible to fit the LT-4 resonator AND an Xpipe. With the MF system, the rest is also 3". The incremental cost would be reasonable if I sold the B+B. I could also keep the B+B mufflers and create a hybrid with the MF Xpipe/resonator. I know of someone who would be willing to buy the MF mufflers and then I could sell the B+B resonator. So number of different options.

Yeah still have the Watsons.

Brad,

Here is the website. http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?product_id=16837
I believe youcan buy thre resonator and Xpipe separately but they would be pieced together not parted out from the whole system. IOW, you need the right part numbers.

It's probably somewhere betweeen 2.5 and 2.75". It does neck down slightly going into the resonator.

Bob,

According to Marc H, the 3rd Gen B+B necks down further than that.
One of the things we discussed at BG.

Sure. I was just saying it's not quite straight though. It necks a little.
