I love that scene. Anytime I’m showing off our home sound system, that’s my go to demo! Never thought about it but that scene is what I feel like!!!

Pete’s handiwork. Did Steve pull the air filter when doing this?

Pretty sure filter was still in, but Steve will have to confirm.

I believe MH removes it for dyno runs. IIRC, he mentioned that was good for several more ponies.

Question for you Zr1 drivers that have modified engines. I have a DRM 385, that came with two chips. I run the chip that was meant for the track but need about 100 octane fuel to get it to run well. I can only buy 91 octane here. I have ran straight 100 octane oxygenated race fuel and both the car and I loved it. I have no choice but to use booster and about 7 gallons of fuel to get similar results. What do you guys run for fuel?

Mine's tuned for 93 octane. Personally, I would not want to deal with the headache of running Torco/Boostane/etc. I keep a few cans around for if I go on a trip somewhere that there is only 91 octane, but setting it up for 100 octane is too much hassle for a street driven car.

Steve that is awesome work.
Good job.

I knew the car had another 20+ into her.

Evan, i'm so happy to hear you are enjoying the car.
Be safe.

With these new gains and from your previous Dynojet #'s now it should be 515-520rwhp.

Pete

Maybe 180 in the mile

Steve,

What was reason for shutting down early?

Sorry for tardy response Dominic.. we typically don't take engines to fuel cutoff level unless we built the motor. Shut down at 7,000, which is where I take all Z's. It will make more, as will my own, but 480/427 SAE gave us an incremental 19 rwhp after the new tune..
