I agree... Nothing like being double sure for just those reasons. Had that happen already my sending unit failed. Zero oil pressure is unerving. I shut the car down immediately when it happened.

Good info, Daryll... I have the Harlan light (bought it a looong time before Dom mentioned the issues with it), so no need to access any controls once it's set up. I guess once I'm done with everything else, and I'm bored, I'll redo it with a Raptor light. I like Jeff's idea of a remote switch, does it look like that's possible with the way it's wired?

Maybe for and electronic guru like Jeff. Im sure a slice could be made in the harness or within the unit. The dual mode is not really needed unless you want that function

Honestly, I think if you run another push switch in parallel it would work.. leaving the OEM one there

Maybe I will get a light one of these days and try it
