Busy couple of days!

Drove the Z over 300 miles on Saturday. Drove down to Virginia to meet up with a Wazoo member who had a few parts he offered me after a phone conversation.

Take off Control arms front and rear
Take off Grey Seat Covers and Cushions
Spare Drivers Seat Bottom
Take off Bilstein FX3 shocks
Wheel to Hood Weatherstrip

Had a great chat and learned a bunch of neat stuff about the C4 design!

Met up with a buddy for lunch and had a spirited drive around some back roads. Bluey gave the newer German a run for its money

Looks like I need to take the seats back out to install the new to me seat cushions.

I wanted the control arms as I figured i'd rebuild this spare set and swap everything over on my car this winter but this set is pristine! I may upgrade the bushings in them but considering the arms in my car are in desperate need of a refresh, even just installing these arms would be a worthwhile upgrade.

Yesterday I met up with a couple of the local Wazoo guys over at Jim's house as he offered to help me with a stubborn fuel filter. The job was not possible on my two post lift as my lift arm was directly below the fuel filter location.

Lessons were learned! The filter may have been original to the car (seller told me to change out the fuel filter when I bought the car). I didnt try blowing through it like I normally do but there was a lot of debris coming out of the unit.

We had an overall look at my car and it looks like the "to-do" list keeps growing No complaints as im pretty confident theres no job too big for Wazoo.

Really looking forward to future wrenching sessions!

Dropped Bluey off at Yanks Auto Detailing today for some love. Paint doesnt deserve a full Ceramic Coating yet but some of Brent's magic love will have her looking great by the weekend!

Cars and Coffee was a blast on Saturday!

Great turnout but an even better time with the Wazoo guys! Stuck around after to talk tech and get some pictures

The "tech talk" resulted in adding more TO DO items to my winter project list.

Charlie was kind enough to let me take his car for a spin. He also took mine around the block. End result: the whining my transmission is doing is not "normal". After a phone call with Bill Boudreau earlier in the week, that was my assumption but I figured I'd let a local pro have a look as well.

Bill suggested that I drop the transmission and check the alignment of everything when reassembling. He also offered for me to send him pictures of my clutch/flywheel assembly so we can decide if it needs replacing or refurbishing.

While I have the trans down over the winter i'll also be sending out my power steering rack to Turn One for a refresh. Perfect time since i'll be taking down all the suspension arms for replacement/upgrade and swapping out the old worn FX3 shocks for newer ones. Its going to be one heck of a transformation come spring time!
