Re: Life is good.
I've got to be at least in the mid to high 12"s right now. I haven't taken it to the strip since I put the Fidanza on and the top end porting. The only way to tell is just to get my but out there and see. My last best run before all this was 13.050@110.32mph. But before I do I'm going to let Corey work his magic and dyno tune it for me. I'm going to head up for the Texas gathering a day early so he can do it for me.

On the other hand, air leaking into the intake plenum someway will result in a high idle. Other things as well...IAC, etc., but a scanner should help identify issues with monitored systems. Like someone mentioned: ye ol propane trick is easy to do and sometimes isolates a leak, if the propane can be placed next to the leak. Then again...could it be the tune on the chip??? Just a thought. P.

Maybe a call to Marc might help as he fixed that situation for one member. Tom

why don't the 2* head plates cause the same issues? I never saw any DAG in those bores?

950 cfm. I ran one on an Edelbrock manifold on my 68 Camaro. Engine was L-88 427 which replaced the original 375hp 396. Had a few other things done to the engine and car. My Z finally was able to beat the Camaro's time in the 1/4 when I started spraying. Biggest problem with the 3-BBL was it bogged most engines. I didn't care about that as when I was playing, engine was never below 6K. No bog there. Brute hp and tq. I bought the Camaro new in Oct. 1967 with the 375/396. Lots of fun. Curtis

Re: Life is good.
I talked to Corey today and he says he never uses anything on the throttle body bores.
