Re: It's coming together.
Very nice looking powder-coating. Hopefully mine will look like that someday.
One question... You mentioned stuffing SS-wool into the PCV area. Where exactly do you put it? Is it in the crankcase breather box or inside the IH where the PCV elbow goes in? I'm assuming that the wool helps prevent oil carry-over into the intake manifold, right? Thanks, SharkPilot

Re: It's coming together.
Yes it's right under were the PCV pipes go into the valve covers. There is a wire that keeps it from falling out.

Re: It's coming together.
Here it is done for the most part. I still have to bolt the brake booster back up and do an oil change and fill back up my coolant level. Also another note if you use the thick finalic plenum gaskets and you buy the SS top end fastener kit just know that the plenum bolts won't be long enough to thread through.
I love the before and after pics. I can't wait to see the look on that guys face that made that smart azz comment about how my engine compartment wasn't up to his standards. He can take his LT4 and spray Roundup on it. And you better believe I'm gonna rub it in. Not only does it look better than his it will murder his in a most spectacular fashion. It would murder his in performance even before the powder coating and porting. But now "OMG". MMwwwaahahaha! I love it. |

Re: It's coming together.
Hell no. It looks good but it doesn't freakin run. To put all the hard work into porting and powder coating. Get it all put back together just to have no start syndrome. I'm tired of listening to this guy across the street always reving his Saleen Mustang all the time. Man I thought I was going to be able to pull this bad boy out of the garage this evening and show this freak up "NOT". I'm sure I'll get it figured out.

Re: It's coming together.
Been following your saga - along with the rest of us. We're pullin fer ya, and know it is just something simple. (Anything would be, relative to where you've come from, right?? )
I'm looking forward now to getting mine back together too...AND hoping it fires up OK! I'm a little anxious about it, but I was talking to Marc H about such things a while back, and he admitted to feeling the same way every time he puts one back together -- just before turning the key! So! You're in good company! P.
