Default Re: Secondary Vacuum Pump Question

You're welcome John!

I didn't have a digital camera back when I did the repair.

Maybe when I put it up for the winter I'll take the pump out and do it all over again using my camera to document the repair steps. I'm fairly certain of one thing, water vapor proly "kills" these pumps more than any electrical / motor parts wearing out. My motor was all most frozen from rust! It didn't pop the fuse, but the draw was just starting to melt the connector plastic!

I'm sure that I did mine in by driving my car in less than ideal conditions....like rain or on humid & cold days and parking it in an unheated garage.....Lord knows I can't blame any of it on the original owner as he had a climate controlled garage & did 7400 miles in 14.5 yrs! I'm the "bad owner"!
