I'll go against the trend here and vote for the glass top. I've never even installed the painted top on the car. I guess it fits.
![]() I like the looks of the blue color against the yellow. Different strokes kind of thing. Last edited by ittlfly; 07-23-2009 at 01:21 PM. |

Love the "blue" top. But I use the solid one for track days and for over the winter.

Well my decision has been made easier at least as to which top to run with. Upon further review there are many cracks in the glass top I have. It was probably stored in the car while it was garaged for 5 years and the summers here are brutal. No wonder it says in the manual not to store the glass top in the car. I guess it is back in the bag and in the garage for the glass top. I like the look and especially the extra head room, but I don't think it is worth spending the $1k to replace the glass top. That money is better spent on mods.

To me the car looks wrong with either the top out or with the glass top. With the body colored top, the lines of the car seem flowing and the look is one of solidity. Without the top (or with the glass top), the lines seem too round in the rear and straight in the front giving the impression that the two don't belong to each other.
My glass top still has the factory plastic on it - and that's the way it will stay. |

Only have the glass top with mine (though it was a 2-top car originally). Once I find a nice solid top in bright red, I'll swap them out. The solid top looks much better IMHO.
