Default Re: WTB...r/h p/w switch

For whatever reason, whenever I get notice in my mail box that I have a pm and must go to the forum to log in, the log in doesn't work. I enter my name and password, it thanks me for logging in and then the screen keeps cycling back to the log in page.

So, for everyone who has sent me a pm regarding the switch, I can't get there to see you message. However, as it turns out, the 94-96 switches do not appear to be the same as the window switch for the 93 and I'm still looking for a window switch for my 93.

If you have a switch from a 93, I still need one. Thanks all.

My power window switch on the driver side would not let the passenger window motor up. I had a hard time finding one.
I took the switch apart. Relatively, an easy process. Plastic tabs on the sides hold the entire unit together.
First one needs to slip off the two button covers, like mittens, before separating the unit. The slot tabs on the sides need to be separated slightly with a flat headed screwdriver from the unit, inorder to separate the top and bottom. Inside are two switches which are screwed into the base. Unscrew the swithches. Than again separate the plastic tabs holding the switch housing. Inside the switch housing, you will see metal contacts. Mine were covered in black "electrical" soot. I scraped the dark stains off with a flat headed screwdriver. Replaced the contacts. Put it all back together. And the windows work great , both sides, up and down. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was not sure what I was getting into.
I hope this helps.
