Re: Just agreed buy another Z....1990
I am wondering how many registry members live off I-90 starting in New York and going to Chicago? If there is a break in the weather I might be picking up the car myself and driving it back.

I'm 145 miles south of Albany, NY.......I was jazzed when I saw the post, any excuse to drive my Z & waste gas!.......
What'cha thinking Lee? If the snow stays away and I can find the time I'm in for a run!

Re: Just agreed buy another Z....1990
Hadi, the only thing with my Z and winter is that I will not drive it on snow and on wet roads that have salt put down on the road. That stuff makes a mess under the car and I'm positive that all that "salt water" is not doing the under car metal and nuts & bolts any good.....besides it's a PIA to try to get the car's chassis clean again after driving in that stuff.
If the roads are dry, and do not have snow covering them....then I'm up for a cruise! Tom

I agree with you n that thing! but, is there any spray coating (for protection) from the salt water thing, befor taking car for ride ?? Ok, forget about Zr-1 , but think all of you have other car for driving to work during snowy weather. Last edited by HADI-ZR1; 12-07-2008 at 04:12 PM. |

Re: Just agreed buy another Z....1990
Interesting note about this car, prior to ending up on the East coast, it was originally sold at Larry Faul Chevrolet, which is in Barrington, Il(5 minutes from my house) So this car is on its way back home. Car has every record since new. Pizzabox is also included. I am excited to pick up a true survivor car with full history.
