That is essentially correct.

As your number of posts increase so does the level of your corvette engine, culminating with the ultimate corvette engine, the LT5.

The idea is as you make more posts you go up in horse power.

L98, LT1, LT4, LT5

So the goal is to hit LT5.

Same goes with the stars.

It changes as you post more..I made it to LT5 on the old zr1net and the one before that, but it seems after many resets I keep starting over.

It has changed for everyone in the sense the numbers were raised to reach the elite LT5 status. You are about a 1/3 of the way there.
